A pro and a principal; from Northwood to North Carolina

  • Joel Rodgers

Northwood principal Shannon Wall and Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Eric Washington have a friendship that started in the 4th grade and continues today.

The two connected for many touchdowns during the 1986 and 1987 seasons for the Northwood Falcons; Shannon played quarterback, while Eric played tight end.

Recently we aired an interview on Moody in the Morning featuring Eric Washington talking about recently becoming the newly named defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers,  but to complete the story, I took a trip to Northwood high school to speak with Shannon Wall.
